Now, as Plymouth State University’s Information Architect, he’s continuing on that mission by replacing the school’s CMS with WordPress and building out applications based on it. Casey blogs about his passion for WordPress, libraries, roadside oddities, and hiking in New Hampshire\u2019s White Mountains at MaisonBisson.com<\/a>. Erin Blaskie<\/h3>\n

Jeremy Boggs<\/h3>\n

Lisa Brundage<\/h3>\n

Steve Bruner<\/h3>\n

Since he grew up in Portugal, Angola and Belgium, went to school and worked in Austria and the U.S., and one of his daughters is American, he gets where most people are coming from. He\u2019s still trying to figure out what any one of his three daughters wants, though.<\/p>\n

Brian Gardner<\/h3>\n

Matt Gold<\/h3>\n

Dan Goldman<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoDan Goldman was until recently the Executive Director of Interactive at WNET.ORG, the leading NYC public television broadcaster. Before that, he spent six years launching and managing satellite channels and pay TV platforms for News Corp around the world. In 2003, Dan launched an online video game company which built an instant-messenger-based MMOG with venture capital financing. Dan has an M.B.A. from Columbia and B.A. From Yale. He
\nis a life-long Brooklynite, residing there with his wife, two children and 10 hens (it’s true!).<\/p>\n

Boone Gorges<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoBoone Gorges is as an instructional technologist at Queens College, where for several years he has been the administrator and primary pedagogical support for QC’s blogging program, which hosts over a thousand active users on Movable Type. He’s also the lead developer for the CUNY Academic Commons, a social networking platform meant to facility scholarly collaboration between faculty and staff across CUNY’s 23 campuses. The CAC is built on WPMu, BuddyPress, bbPress, and MediaWiki. Boone is also a PhD candidate in Philosophy at the CUNY Graduate Center.<\/p>\n

Grant Griffiths<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoGrant Griffiths is co-founder of Headway Themes, a premium WordPress theme which launched on July 31st, 2009. In addition to Headway, Grant is co-owner of G2WebMedia, a blog consulting and design firm who works with clients building custom blog sites for their small businesses and professional service firms. Grant blogs at Blog For Profit where he discusses using a blog and social media to promote and market a business. He launched his first blog February 2005 as a marketing tool for his former law firm.<\/p>\n

Jim Groom<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoJim is an Instructional Technology Specialist and adjunct professor at the University of Mary Washington in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He has been working for over a decade in education with a consistent focus on the development of teaching and learning in higher education. In addition to his extensive experience teaching at the college level, for the past four years he has worked primarily in the field of instructional technology.<\/p>\n

Shannon Hauser<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoFor administrative purposes, Shannon has declared herself a history degree-seeking undergrad at Mary Washington, but most of the time she is doing non-history activities. Perry Hewitt<\/h3>\n

Noel Jackson<\/h3>\n

Mark Jaquith<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoMark Jaquith<\/a> has been working with and contributing to WordPress since 2004. He is one of the lead developers of the WordPress core and offers freelance WordPress consulting services through Covered Web Services<\/a> with a focus on scaling, security, and custom functionality. Mark likes patches that have more red than green, and his favorite WordPress features are the ones that you’re not even aware of. He eagerly looks forward to shooting down your feature suggestions with, “No, but it would make a great plugin!”<\/p>\n

Paul Kim<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoPaul spent 4 years at Mozilla, where he worked with a global community to launch four major releases of Firefox. He recently joined Automattic, where he is focused on growing the community and finding ways to introduce people to WordPress (and keep them excited once they’ve started blogging). Paul’s been happily blogging with WordPress since 2005. He lives with his family in Oakland, California, where, against all his better instincts, he’s developed a running habit.<\/p>\n

Daryl Koopersmith<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoDaryl is a junior majoring in Computer Science at Washington University in St. Louis. He created the Elastic theme framework and a WYSIWYG theme editor plugin as his student project with WordPress for Google Summer of Code 2009.<\/p>\n

Beau Lebens<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoBeau is a web developer who hails from Australia, but lives in San Francisco. He\u2019s been working on the web since about 1996 and developing PHP\/MySQL systems since 2000. He has been involved in a variety of technical enterprises ranging from an exclusively-online division at a University to a niche Search Engine Marketing firm, with a short stint building an online scrapbooking network for parents. Interested in all things social, tech and web-related, Beau holds a degree in online community, culture and governance, and spends most of his time these days hacking web apps for Automattic.<\/p>\n

Michelle Leder<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoMichelle Leder runs the site footnoted.org<\/a>, which she launched in August 2003. The site digs into the details in Securities and Exchange Commission filings and has been called a site for “those in the know” by the Wall Street Journal and a top financial site by BusinessWeek, CNN\/Money, and the Financial Times. In 2006, it was named a top site by Time Magazine.<\/p>\n

Dave Lester<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoDave is the Omeka Developer Community Lead at the Center for History and New Media, collaborating with open source developers across institutions. He is a graduate of American Studies, a HASTAC scholar, and the founder of HistoryPlot. Dave lives in Washington, DC, and you can find him blogging<\/a>, organizing conferences<\/a>, and developing WordPress plugins for scholars<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Ted Mann<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoTed Mann is the Digital Development Director for Gannet New Jersey’s five websites – app.com, courierpostonline.com, dailyrecord.com, mycentraljersey.com, and thedailyjournal.com. When he isn’t directing the newspaper group’s strategies for live video, digital sales, and mobile development, he personally maintains the 100+ WordPress staff blogs across the state. Naoko McCracken<\/h3>\n

He came to True\/Slant from Cond\u00e9 Nast, where he spent eight years, most recently as Senior Director, Product Development. In that role he managed the build-out of Parade.com’s core platform and publishing tools. Prior to that, Steve managed channel development for About.com, where he designed, built and launched an affiliate ad network. Steve previously worked for Prodigy and IBM building communication and collaboration tools for distributed teams.<\/p>\n

Dan Milward<\/h3>\n

Nick Momrik<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoNick<\/a> started using WordPress in 2003 and wrote some of the early plugins. He works for Automattic, writing code and providing user support. In the Michigan summers you can find him on the golf course in search of the perfect swing.<\/p>\n

Raphael Mudge<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoRaphael is a code hacker<\/a> and technology entrepreneur. He developed After the Deadline<\/a>, the intelligent proofreading software used on WordPress.com and available as a free GPL plugin on WordPress.org. Raphael resides in Washington, D.C.<\/p>\n

Matt Mullenweg<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoMatt is the founding developer of WordPress, the open source blogging software that runs millions of sites around the world. In 2005, he started Automattic, the company behind WordPress.com, Akismet, Gravatar, bbPress, IntenseDebate, and BuddyPress. Matt lives in San Francisco and has a crush on Audrey Hepburn in Breakfast at Tiffany\u2019s.<\/p>\n

Sudar Muthu<\/h3>\n

\"PhotoSudar is an experienced programmer in AJAX, JavaScript, PHP and everything web related, and works as an Engineer at Yahoo Research in Bangalore, India. He’s been passionate about WordPress for over four years, and has contributed quite a few Plugins to the WordPress community. Daisy Olsen<\/h3>\n

After starting a WordPress powered hobby blog in 2006 she quickly discovered that her heart was on the backend and developing blogs for others was far more fulfilling than actually blogging. Since then she has worked on many blogs and non-blog websites to create individualized website solutions built on WordPress as both a blogging platform and a CMS. She works as a blog\/website development consultant from WP Mama<\/a>. She is also the Director of Operations for Blissfully Domestic<\/a>, a web-based magazine powered by WordPress with over 400 contributing authors.<\/p>\n
