I confirmed yesterday with Automattic that Matt will be flying in to speak at WordCamp NY.

Matt Mullenweg

It’s going to be awesome to have Matt come as a speaker and I really appreciate it.

Matt is speaking at WordCamp Toronto the day before, so it’s a tight schedule.

Thanks Matt!

We have another speaker for WordCamp NY 2008!

The one and only, Aaron Brazell.

Aaron will be coming up from Washington DC to talk about Search and Findability Making it into the Big Leagues.

Update: Sorry, my mistake on which topic Aaron will be speaking on. It’s been corrected now.

Thanks for coming on board Aaron!

You can take a look at the rest of our speakers on the schedule, thanks!

Some great and long awaited news for everyone!

I have recently confirmed three new speakers for the event.

First off, Jeremy Clarke will be joining us for the event as a speaker. Jeremy will be speaking on building blog networks. He will be digging into the nitty-gritty and technical of how to do this.

Second, I am proud to announce Michael Hampton as a new addition to the event. Michael has a vast background in security and anti-spam. Michael will be spending an hour talking about WordPress security.

Third, we have Jen Simmons. Jen has a background in video and interactive design. Her talk will focus on video blogging and will be more content-based than it will be technically-based.

There is one more speaking pending, waiting to finalize the details on that still.

But you an be sure I’ll post about it here once it’s been finalized.

Thanks everyone that has come on board!

A big shout out to Jeremy Clarke for creating these badges for us.

You can view them all on the sign-up page and grab yours to post on your site.

Thanks Jeremy!
